weoxo releases a power every week, and time and time again people always ask “is it limited?”. It’s such a common question that people usually don’t know the answer to.
Usually people ask while a power is still in testing, and it’s way too early to determine the availability of a power then. This is only ever known after the power is put on powers page.
SO WHAT DOES LIMITED MEAN ANYWAY?
weoxo doesn’t have an official definition for a limited power, but it is simply a power that is limited in quantity that you cannot purchase from weoxo directly (either by powers page or auction) at free will. These powers can only be acquired from trading unless they are released by weoxo.
Another good example is GOLD power, which weoxo has claimed is not a limited power. But it in fact is a limited power. Even if it is not on powers page, it is still a limited power because weoxo still has to release it for you to buy it directly.
OKAY, SO WHAT’S THE SECRET?
If you look at the powers page, you’ll realise that all of the limited powers (from Halloween and onwards) specifically state that they are limited in the description on powers page.
weoxo has never went back on its word when it states that a power is limited in the description. It’s possible that they could do this in the future, but it is highly unlikely.
If weoxo does not specifically state that the power is limited in its description, this means that the power will most likely become unlimited in the future. It could be one week from now or a year later.
Conversely, weoxo could also make any power that is unlimited limited later. A good example of this is spooky power which was unlimited for a long time and then became limited. Purchasing every unlimited power hoping that they’ll become limited later probably isn’t the best tactic, however.
People often don’t pay attention to these very obvious details and purchase tons of the new powers and then it becomes unlimited and they lose a lot of coins.
This should give you a clue as to what to invest in whenever a new power releases if you want to make some profit.
